Five books sit in the middle of the Old Testament (OT), with 17 books on each side: Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and Song of Solomon. Christians call them the Poetic Books or Wisdom Writings; in the Jewish canon, all five belong to the Ketuvim (Writings).
