Samuel Presented to Eli

Hannah was unable to have children. This caused her great sadness so Hannah made a vow to God if He would give her a son she would dedicate the child to the Him. God blessed her with a son and once Samuel was fully weaned she presented him to Eli the priest to be lent to the Lord as long as he lived.
