Davidic Capitals Found

Three capitals (column heads) were found featuring a well known style that dates back to the time of King David and is found only in areas ruled by the Jews. This very design is still used on the 5 shekel coin today!

The capitals themselves date back to the First Temple Period ~2,700 years ago between the reign of King Hezekiah and the destruction of Jerusalem by the Babylonians (716-586 BC).
