Babylonian Ceramic Lion

Ceramic Lion from Babylon

This glazed-brick relief of a striding lion was one of many that lined the gates of Babylon. It was these very gates that Ezekiel, Daniel, Shadrach, Meschach and Abednego would have walked through along with many of the Jews during their exile.
